The Bellingham Blazers began their 2022-2023 United States Premier Hockey League season with a loss at home to the Seattle Totems Friday, September 16th at the Sportsplex. The Blazers took a 2-0 lead in the second period after both teams failed to find the net in the first. Seattle however dominated the third period with 6 unanswered goals. Final score 2-6. The Bellingham United battled back from a one goal deficit late in the final minutes of their EPLWA match with Washington Premier FC to force a tie. The Premier lead two goals to one for the majority of the second half of Friday's match at Orca Field.
